By now, you should have received your email from Backerkit with a link to the backer survey. This survey lets you confirm your rewards, answer a few questions (to help us personalize certain rewards), enter a shipping address, and pay for the shipping of your physical games.

As part of the survey, there is also an option to purchase additional copies of the game at a backer-friendly cost ($5 below MSRP)... just in case you want any additional copies!

We are about to ship your games to you!
Two palettes of Hype Tag games are about to land at our house! And we are ready to get them right out the door to you. Thanks to a lot of help from Kate, the studio is ready to become a pack n' ship operation! We got boxes, we got labels, we got tape, we got willpower. The time has come! The trucking company is due to pull into our driveway in less than a week, so it's time to get the information we need from you so we can ship everything right out. I can't make any promises but there is a chance we can get games to the early-birds before the holiday!
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIREUPDATE FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET YOUR GAMES!
BACKERKIT EMAIL REQUIRES A REPLY
During the day tomorrow (Monday), all backers will receive an email from Backerkit, the pledge management service we are using to oversee our shipping and pledge fulfillment. The email has a link to the Hype Tag pledge survey that must be completed for you to receive your games and digital pledge rewards. The Backerkit email and corresponding link are both legitimate! Set your spam filter to allow emails from Backerkit. And if you don't see their email, please send us a message through Kickstarter and we will make sure you get it.
The Backerkit link takes you to a shopping cart style interface where you can:
•Claim your rewards including all physical copies of Hype Tag and other fun digital goodies you earned!
•Answer some questions to help us personalize some of the rewards.
•Provide your updated shipping address.
•Pay for the shipping of your games.
Filling out the Backerkit survey should take less than 5 minutes. The sooner you respond, the sooner your games can go out in the mail!
STRETCH GOALS UNLOCKED INCLUDING "CROWD FUNDER FRAN" CARD!
As a special thank you to all of our amazing backers, we were able to include ALL special cards offered in the stretch goals of our Kickstarter campaign! In addition, Crowd Funder Fran (a very powerful Older Kid card) will appear ONLY in the Kickstarter edition of the game as part of a special bonus pack you will find in the box. Look for a gold star in with a green "KS" (for Kickstarter) in the top right corner of her card, alongside other gold star cards in the bonus pack. Not only is Fran very powerful in-game, she is special reminder that you were a part of making the first printing of this game possible. Thank you!

For those celebrating Thanksgiving, happy holiday to you!
We wanted to reach out with a few quick updates because very exciting things are about to happen in the Hype Tag universe.
THING 1 - THE SHIPMENT IS IMMINENT: The full shipment from Panda is due to arrive on my doorstep within the next two weeks! We are setting up our in-house 'pack n' ship" operation to get the games out to you as soon as they arrive! I can't quote an exact time when they will reach you yet, but we have crossed every "t" and dotted every "i" within our power. The shipment has to clear customs on its way into Boston and then it gets trucked to my house. All of our plans and updates suggest a smooth arrival, so only elements outside of our control will hold things up. Fingers crossed you will get them during the holiday season or soon thereafter.
THING 2 - BACKERKIT: We are using the much-heralded pledge management service called "Backerkit" to help us in carrying out our game and reward fulfillment plans. All Kickstarter campiagns use some form of pledge management service to reach out to backers at reward delivery time. Backerkit has functionality specifically designed to interface with Kickstarter and it is the most trusted and widely used service out there. That said ---> YOUR RESPONSE WILL BE NEEDED.
Keep your eye on your email because you will be hearing from us through Backerkit within the next week or so to request the information needed to fullfill your pledge. Without your reply, we can't send your games or pledge rewards. Backerkit will confirm the pledge rewards you have coming your way, ask you to provide updated shipping payment and address information, and ask a few questions that will help us personalize some of the rewards. (e.g., If your pledge entitles you to a personalized verse in the Hype Tag theme song, you will be asked a few questions to help steer the content of that verse, especially if we don't already know you!) Backerkit also allows you to purchase additional copies of the game at the time of shipping if you wish.
THING 3 - WEB SITEON THE WAY: The Hype Tag web site (hypetagcardgame.com) will be up and running very soon. (That link goes nowhere right now, but it will connect very soon!) The site will allow your friends and family to purchase the game and will be updated regularly to include gameplay FAQs, How-To-Play videos, game variants (e.g., team play and "draft"), news, links, strategy tips, etc. Not all of this functionality will be avialable at the time of the launch, but we will be working to populate it with useful content as quickly as we can! Shout out to Todd Howard for his help and support!
We will be in touch regualry over the next few weeks as we receive and ship your games. THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME! Thanks you for all of your patience and support, it's been quite a journey.

Super Exciting Hype Tag Updates (with Pics!)

Hello friends, family, and backers! We have some very exciting news about Hype Tag to share, including updates about the following:
1. The MPC (The manufacturing production copy)
2. Hype Tag Manufacturing/Timeline Update
3. Upcoming Partnership with Backerkit
THE MPC:
About ten days ago, I received the MPC. Unlike the PPC (Pre-Production Copy) which is meant to bring about changes, updates, etc., the MPC (Manufacturing Production Copy) is the first physical copy of the finished game. It is literally Hype Tag copy #1 off the line. And it got sent to us as the celebratory... YOU DID IT! before they print the remaining 1499 copies. While the MPC does serve as a "last chance garage" opp to fix some egregious error, oversight, or mistake... needing to make a change at this point kinda means somebody did something very wrong... let's just say it would be very costly and time-consuming to maske changes now. So the stakes felt a little high opening this thing. But happily for us, our MPC is flawless!! As a result of extra time, effort, and hard work on the part of both my CPG team and our Panda team, we are 100% HAPPY with not only how the actual game components look, but with the assembly, shrink-wrapping, and orientation of materials in the box. Phew!
Bottom line... this is a big moment of celebration, reaching the point where our hard work and attention to detail results in the reality we've been working toward: delivery of the very best of what Hype Tag has to offer to you, our backers. There are a few pics at the bottom just to give you a taste...
Hype Tag Manufacturing/Timeline Update
As a result of MPC being approved, and of the game passing it's safety testing, the game has been manufactured! Yes, this means that the physical components have all been made, produced, printed, and signed-off. As a result, the game is now in the assembly phase. This is where they take all of the decks, hype meters, sliders, deck mats, target, rules cards and the bonus pack and put them as planned into the boxes and wrap 'em up for shipment. This phase is set to complete by about October 15th.
We will then enter into the 6-8 week shipping window. This lands the games in our downstairs "studio" room (currently getting set-up as a mini Pack N' Ship operation) sometime around the beginning/middle of December. Our goal is to be set-up and ready to turn those games right around to our backers as quickly as humanly possible. This means they will arrive to you sometime between late-December and mid-January. (No promises, but I'm told this is a very safe estimate, taking everything into account.) Once again, we just want to acknowledge that out spring 2022 estimate during the campaign was (in retropspect) a bit optimistic, but it was based on the best guidance we could get from Panda and others. If you've been following our updates, you already know that the need to make changes to the hype meters (after the PPC) added serval months to the process and we do not regret it! That said, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE! We will continue to do our best and to keep you updated.
In order for you to get your copies of the game (and other pledge rewards) as quickly as possible, please be on the lookout for another update soon that explains more about our...
Upcomoing Partnership with Backerkit
Backerkit in an online pledge management site (used by a most kickstarter project owners) that we will be using to manage shipping logistics, collection of shipping costs, and pledge reward fullfilment. The first phase of this partnership will take place in the next several weeks when you will hear from us with a "survey" requesting important information we will use to fulfill your pledge rewards and get your games shipped to the right address and shipping charged in the right amount to the right payment method. It is very important that you look for this update and full out the survey as quickly as possible. Otherwise, we can't shop your games to you!
Just wanted to take a moment to day that while our kickstarter page said that we would need to charge the shipping at the time of shipment (and not as part of your campaign pledge), we do understand that this means you will have another small outlay of money at this point. Many kickstarter projects (especially smaller ones like ours) charge shipping later because it allows backer dollars to go directly into getting the product made while also syncing-up what we are charging to the actual cost at time of shipment. To that end, we can say for sure that we would have had to charge MORE for shipping back then than we will need to now. We will do our best to charge only what is necessary to fulfill the shipping and handling costs and get your games to you asap.
We are so exited and can't wait to put the game into your hands!
